What/when is the Flag Ceremony. I understand that it's the first chance to see your swab after R-Day.

Last year was July 28th, so this year it should be July 26th.

It depends on which company your swab is in. Last year Alpha, Bravo and Charlie was away on the Eagle during the Mystic Flag Ceremony.

If you do go, you can follow the regiment march into the Mystic Seaport, admissions free. After instruction from the cadre they will be release for about 2 hrs. before the ceremony.

Following the ceremony the regiment marches back to the buses in the parking area, returns to academy for lunch and then is released for about a 5 hour liberty.

During liberty, the cadets will allowed to use cell phones to call their friends.

Not sure if it's on the Parents Association web site yet, but the date/time of the Flag Ceremony has been confirmed: Saturday, July 26th at 1100

Of course, Swab Summer company assignments won't be out for another month and Alfa, Bravo, Charlie normally miss the event for their short EAGLE cruise.
