You'll get that showering sub 5 minutes soon

IT is incentive training i believe, not intensive training.

I never did AIM, but that's a pretty good description of how SS goes too. Lots of memorizing, lots of IT, lots of FUN!!!

When will 2009 AIM applicants hear if they are accepted?

All AIM applicants should be notified by mid-May of their selection status.

If accepted to the AIM program, is there anything that needs to be done before attending such as getting a physical or some sort of physical examination? perhaps a copious amount of paperwork as I've come to expect from the government?

No physical exam, and just a few forms to fill out.

My son had not heard from the AIM program as of Wed. May 20th. We thought we would hear by May 15th. It this typical or should I contact the Academy to see when notifications are going out?

Approx 200 letters (accepts and non-accepts) were mailed on 5/19. If you haven't heard anything by Monday, call your Admissions Officer at (860) 444-8500.

Thanks Luigi59. I thought enrollment for AIM was around 500. 200 mailings does not seem like much. Is this the first of several mailings? Or is enrollment much less than I thought?

It is, ~160 for each of three sessions.

It's actually the last (or one of the last) of several mailings.

Not sure what number you were thinking, but there were ~2,100 applications submitted for AIM, and ~1,500 were completed (essays, LORs, scores, etc).

Every applicant should get a letter letting them know "yay or nay."

Most of the letters (both accepts and non-accepts) were sent out earlier this month.
