DoDMERB and Fitness Test

I recently completed my DoDMERB exam for West Point and CFA as well. Will the DoDMERB send my info from the previous exams to the CGA or not? Also, does the CFA I took for West Point able to be counted towards the CGA? I'm guessing no on the second one seeing as they are different. Thanks.

I don't believe DODMERB sends anything to any of the academies.

Every academy to which you apply will access the DODMERB site to get your medical qualification status.

As for submitting the CFA to USCGA - at one time it was acceptable but not recommended. Not sure if that still applies, though. There is a specific scoring table used in the PFE and a passing score must be achieved.

I would advise any candidate to do what is recommended, rather than what is simply acceptable.

You will be scored on the USCGA PFE test in the first week of Swab Summer so you might as well get used to taking it before you get there.

Although it sounds like you understand the differences, a quick reference for the CFA and the PFE can be found here...
Service Academy Admissions - Physical Fitness
Each school listed has the requirements, incluing the fitness exam.
Personally, I think the fitness requirements for Coast Guard are the most strict, even if the PFE seems easier with fewer events. Not easier, just different. Good luck!
