Chances???

Hey so I'm thinking about applying to Colby
Please tell me what you think my chances are
GPA: 3.5
attend competitive NJ prep school
SATs: CR: 800 W: 680 M: 590 (2070 total)
SAT IIs: English: 710 us history: 710
Extra-Curriculars:
Senior Tour guide
Model UN leader
4 year member of Varsity crew team with varsity letter
Independent study project on child development in the Dominican Republic
-stayed and worked at orphanage for 3 weeks in spring and summer break
editor of school newsaper senior year
writer for freshman, junior and sophomore years
worked at summer camp for underpriveleged children for 10 weeks during summer (40 hrs/week) before senior year
took classes at Amherst college summer before junior year
APs: junior year took APUS (5) and AP English (4)
senior year taking AP Gov, AP spanish and AP Psych
wrote essay on the problems with ignorant priveleged americans volunteering in third world countries who assume they are superior to the natives of the country they are volunteering in. well-written
interviewed...went well

While your SAT math may be a bit below the Colby norm, you really strike me as an interesting, multi-dimensional person. Your varied interests and passion make you similar to many current students in the Colby community. While I, as a student, clearly have no weight on the decisions, I think you'd fit right in!

As far as a straight decision goes, I'd say accept or waitlist. I'd be surprised if you were rejected.

Are you me??

Basically the same CR W M SAT scores, SAT II Scores (and subjects), GPA, AP classes and scores, senior year classes...

A bunch of places...Bard, Bennington, Colby, Hamilton, Hampshire, Macalester, Sarah Lawrence, and Vassar amaong others.

With good essays, I think you'll get in. I am applying too, but I don't have such wonderful ECs. Hope Colby likes you and hope they like me too. good luck
