transfer chances

hey everyone. i'm currently a freshman at a four-year liberal arts college majoring in political science, eventually to declare another major and minor.

H.S.
GPA: 3.0 (9th-11th) 3.5 (12th)
SATs: 1090 :-(
ECs: Black belt in karate (done for 8 years); volunteer work @ church, soup kitchens, etc.

College:
GPA: 3.7/8 (approximate, semester not over with yet)
ECs: Pre-law society, against drunk driving club, most likely dean's list and national honor society

good recs, etc. likely a pretty strong essay

please reply with any suggestions or opinions. thanks

Where are you coming from? Why do you want to transfer to Colgate?

It's going to be tough- they accepted only 15% of transfers last year. But it's possible since I had similiar stats to yours when I applied for transfer and here I am

Cool good luck. I'm pretty sure I had no chance at spring, it's much more difficult, I think. Virtually based entirely upon high school work, isn't it?

I don't know whether it is much more difficult. What I know is that you have to try first and believe in yourself that it will happen, and it will be reality.
You're applying for the fall? Hope we meet at Colgate then.

I am still indecise. I know it will be among biology, chemistry, physics, and math. I love them. I don't know what to choose. I am attending a community college in maryland. I am international.
