Financial Aid Forms

I'm pretty sure I read on Colgate's website that the financial aid forms were due on January 15. Is this true? And don't I need to file taxes and recieve a receipt or whatever I get back before I can do the financial aid forms? Although I'm far from being a CPA, I would think that it would take longer than 15 days to get anything from the IRS. So what should I do/what does everyone else do (I'm applying RD, so maybe I got deadlines mixed up)? Thanks for any information.

metfan,
I just filed the CSS Profile that is required to be sent by Jan. 15. You can access it via the CollegeBoard.com website. It is filled out to the best of your ability and sent. Any updates can be mailed directly to the college.

The FAFSA is not needed unless accepted and upon deposit.

Hope this helps - good luck!
