| Colgate Poem
Hi Everybody.. As everyone get jittery abt the results( just a week to go) I wd like to share a poem with all of u I penned on Colgate
Colgate
Harvard, Yale and MIT,
Big banners big names,
Hogging all the fame
They seem so lame.
Isn't there a place
Everyone a known face,
Eager to excel
To do well?
A place teeming with new ideas -
Not old formulas,
Innovativeness and creativity
Days full of activity.
Search for a college
A society of knowledge,
Each person adding a new dimension
Colgate, did someone mention.
Seeped in tradition,
Producing brillian academicians,
Lucky number thirteen
Life there can never be routine.
The first cheer,
"Yell high, yell great! Rah, Rah Colgate!"
'Pipe day', 'Salt Rush';
The long wait to 'Ring the Rust'.
The 5-minute rule
Is just so cool,
The willow path
Perfect to loose my heart.
Sports galore
The wild uproar,
Who needs a 'Voodoo'
Come and shout 'Hoodo'.
No need to search
Ample opportunities for research,
Then there's the Core
My inner self to explore.
Grateful alumni
Who exemplify,
The colgate educated
Hold the world fascinated.
The diverseness of a LAC
The challenge of a larger university,
Colgate has it all
Holding me enthralled.
A vibrant community
Living in unity,
Ready to accept
Hope I am adept.
This poem I have penned
Eager to attend
Colgate, a perfect blend
Where my college life I must spend.
I am an international applicant and getting real jittery waiting 4 this week to get over.
Best of luck to everybody.
