Dorming-- fireplace or wireless internet?

So I've been looking into housing and I'm hoping a few 'Gaters can help me out on this one.

I like East Hall, however I'm also drawn to Andrews and Stillman and the other halls. East because it's substance free (nobody vomiting in my bathroom, no crazy parties when I have twelve prelims in the next week~ I've heard it's a very very nice, clean res hall...) with wireless internet access and Andrews/others because I like the idea of having a hang-out room with a fireplace and a foosball table and whatnot... can I have a few opinions? For those of you in East, what do you like/dislike about it? And pretty much anywhere else, are the dorms as nice? I'm caught between having a sanctuary (and wireless internet. heh) or a sweet place to hang out with friends/meet some new people.

Just looking for opinions, since we have the choice of sub-free housing in East Hall. Can we have some more in-depth--well, more biased--hall descriptions maybe?

If you want sub-free east you will get it. I have never heard of anyone wanting East and not getting it ( although every year there are a number of easties who are there not by choice) All the dorms now have wireless i believe (at least i am in stillman this year and we got it half way through i believe they all do) It is true that the other dorms will be louder and sometimes gross. Center Stillman is notorious for have 50 people outside its door on a sat. night at 1 am. And the stair are gross after a weekend but...throw upwise you don't have to worry about it nearly as much as a girl...it's just the truth.... I love the quad style living (oh teh fireplaces are bircked up they don't actually work) but i love the common room because i can do my work really alte when my roommate goes to sleep and vice versa.

Basically no parties/quite/nice people in east with a double
OR either a really nice quad (andrews) or ok quad (stillman) with great common room parties and sometimes the occasional throwup but you have a better cahnce of meeting someone you really get along with (1 roommate vs 3) the odds are better.

Hope this helps
-Sarah gate '09 in C. Stillman now...

im kind of stuck between a double or a single. im rather picky about my surroundings and things generally have to be how i want it, which is why i think i would like a single (im not antisocial so id make friedns outside of my living space) but then again it would be nice having a roomate. i guess im afraid of not getting along with my roomate. any and all suggestions would be appreciated
