i hear the frats totally suck now since the whole incident in 2000... and is it true that people get trashed every nite besides sunday and tuesday?

This is not true. Wednesday, Friday and Saturday are often nights out, although if you have a paper due Thursday that's not the case. Frats are still very popular. The 2000 accident was not a "frat incident" - the students involved in that tragic accident were drinking at bars downtown.

And if I understand correctly, 3/4 students weren't even from Colgate.

right. it's not really connected to the frats- just that both of the guys were frat boys. They were GOING to a frat party. They were coming from the bars downtown.

Don't blame the frats for the whole incident- just individuals. Now the security at frat parties are tight.

Dont worry- not even half of male Gate students are in the frats!
