anyone here get an early decision?

anyone here get an early decision? Did you get any financial aid? Was it merit basted or need based?

I would like to approximate how much money my parents would need to spend if I got an ED to Colgate.

Yes, to the ED, no to the aid. At about $43,000 a year, we'll be pinching pennies for the next 4 years and broke in 2010. Thank goodness for the foresight of saving since he was born. We told him to go where he wanted and let us worry about how to pay for it.

Good luck to you.

ed money

Colgate aid is need based. I applied early and had demonstrasted need which Colgate was great abouting helping with. My suggestion would be to call the financial aid office or send an email and get some more specifics about your particular financial situation because it depends on each person.

Colgate's financial aid is really awsome. Better than many of the ivys. Although I didn't apply Early Decision, I'm pretty sure I remember other people who applied ED2 and got really good financial aid awards from Colgate.
