Colgate ranks #4 among LACs in donations last year

In a thread lifted from acadia on the Middlebury forum, the article shows Colgate's strong momentum in an area where it's been historcially lacking in comparison to many other top LACs. Interesting that three of the four top LAC endowments (Grinnell, Amherst, Swarthmore) are absent from this list.

Gellino I suspect the results reflect at least in part that some of these schools are in the midst of an ongoing capital campaign. Colgate is just starting one ... and Williams is just finishing up on one.

It seems these days that every school is perpetually in the midst of a capital campaign.
