Can someone tell me how well do Colgate students mesh together and interact with other races? I know that diversity isn't the biggest thing in this school, so I was wondering how well different races (and if applicable, classes) interacted with each other.

I'm Asian, and I have been interested in this question too. I'm not saying I'm basing my choice on racial percentage, but I don't want to feel like I'm out of the mix.

You'll see it everywhere. It's a matter of a student being willing to come out of their comfort zone to interact with another student who is of different race. Most schools, the student body ends up being segregated but if you really want to make the effort, than it's definitely possible at Colgate.

im asian and i certainly don't feel like im segregated from the majority-white student population. i've definitely heard racist remarks and offensive things about minorities, but that's hard to avoid on any campus. most of the time it's just joking around and nothing too serious. overall, i think colgate students are accepting. definitely no one avoids talking to you or getting to know you because you're a certain race. i personally feel that african americans are the most visibly segregated, but that might just be cause they're the smallest population.

also, in terms of class, it's hard to tell who has money and who doesn't. i guess in classes like sociology where money/class is a discussion topic you tell from different opinions who's well-off and who's not, but it's definitely not a thing to worry about.
