How politically active is the student body of Colgate? Do students and professors tend to be a lot more liberal than conservative? I would imagine that they do, seeing as Colgate is planted right up there in the middle of Hillary territory.
While I am currently not a student there, the general concenous is that the student body is more conservative than many college, but not really conservative compared to the general public. For the professors, some say that they are liberal. There is a web site about that. I think it is www.sa4c.com.
By the way, upstate New York is not the liberal part of the state. You can't judge the people of one area because people from another can out vote them.
Thank you so much for replying to quickly to all my questions, guys! I've just recently started considering Colgate really seriously and the more I learn about it the quicker it's moving up my list. Since I live in Southern California I won't be able to visit unless I am admitted, but all this insight is making me really confident about making it one of my top choices.
