help 2011 colgate

i'm sure you guys got a letter telling you guys to write some stuff to an advisor of some sort, including the things that you want to do etc, and what you found interesting in that global warming book.

If at all possible, could somebody scan it and email it to arasfh@yahoo.com

or could you just copy the essentials and post it here? thanks

The letter basically asks for you "to reflect on your previous achievements, take stock of yourself right now, and look ahead to what you would like to achieve at Colgate and beyond Colgate. Describe your plans, no matter how tentative or sketchy they may be at this time and do no worry, nothing you write is binding! There are no right or wrong answers.

Some questions you should address in your letter are:

1. What senior year accomplishments or achievements were most satisfying to you and why? Did you experience any particular disappointments or setbacks during you senior year?
2. What are your academic plans? Include courses you would like to take, majors you would like to explore, and special programs (e.g., study-abroad, teacher certification, pre-med) that interest you.
3. What, if any, concerns or doubts do you have about your plans and whether or not they are reasonable or realistic?
4. What might be the greatest challenges you face in achieving you goals?
5.What special talents or areas of expertise are you bringing to Colgate or hoping to develop in college?

***An additional question you should address is about the summer reading assignment***
6. Briefly describe what you liked most (or least) about The Weather Makers. Conclude by writhing three questions that, if you had the opportunity, you would ask the book author, Tim Flannery. During orientation you'll have a chance to discuss the summer reading with faculty and other first-year students."
