Question for fall

How do we know what books to get? Sorry if its a stupid question but i'm going to be a freshman and am used to having books handed to me by teachers (highschool).

I assume I am going to want to order my books so i can bring them with me when i leave for school...

You can order the books through the Colgate bookstore. I think you can log in and your scheduled classes will be listed, and then you can order either used or new books for each class; the books will be ready for pick up when you arrive on campus. It might still be a little early for this - check in a couple of weeks.

You will get an e-mail where you can pre-order books from the colgate bookstore. But they will try to force you to buy your books from them by not listing the full titles of books when you preorder, so that you won't go to amazon.com and buy the book for half price. So if your looking to save big $, e-mail your teachers and ask for the course books when you get your schedule.
