Colgate Chances

I would love to go to Colgate, and Colgate was suggested as a "Core" for me. What do you think of my chances?

GPA - Unweighted: 3.50 (upward trend)
Class Rank: top 10%

My courseload is the most difficult in my class. Class list at bottom

ACT: 31
SAT II U.S. History: 680
SAT II Math Level 2 (IIC): 710
SAT II Chemistry: 740

I don't think AP scores are going to matter at all.

You will be unique because you are from Hawaii. I'm not exactly sure what a 31 ACT translates to on an SAT scale, but think you are basically in the running, but not necessarily a slam dunk by any means. Apply ED to maximize your chances if Colgate is your first choice. I think it definitely makes a difference in marginal cases like this.

well the median range for act is 28-32
so comparable to a 1400/1600 i believe

You certainly have good chances, but I hear Colgate can be a little stingy with aid?

Otherwise, you have good chances! Apply ED if its your top choice!

Like others pointed out, I would say you should go ED if you're serious about Colgate. You're qualified, and a great essay will get you in.
