Probably the most selective SAT-optional colleges are Bowdoin, Bates, Mount Holyoke, and Holy Cross. Once you move a tier lower than that in selectivity, there are almost as many LACs that are SAT-optional as not, particularly in the Northeast. There are lots of good options out there for just about anyone who doesn't think their standardized test scores reflect their academic ability.
Dickinson is scores-optional, and while many think that Dickinson is pretty low-tier, it's actually on par with if not better than many Northeast LACs with lower acceptance rates.
Definitely consider Dickinson if you plan on studying International Relations or International Business/Management.
Mount Holyoke and Bates. And they are both fabulous, beautiful schools. I don't know if Bowdoin is SAT optional. I don't think Bowdoin is that nice in terms of personality though. Whatever floats you boat, I guess.
