On the right track for Colgate ED next yr?

I'm currently a junior, and I'd like to apply ED to Colgate next year...am I on the right track so far, or are my chances slim?

Asian female
public school in NJ

PSAT: 212 -- predict to be National Merit Commended
ACT: 29 (taken in Sept 07)
SAT: haven't taken them
SAT II: 770 Math II (taken in May 07 as sophomore), will take US Hist and Chem
Rank: approx. 12/310 (4%)
GPA: 4.28 w (will obviously change)

Most difficult courses (all honors and APs possible)
APs: Calculus BC, US History, Chemistry (grade 11)

Extracurrics: (predicted total years as senior)
- Marching Band: 5 yrs (started in 8th grade), Section Leader next year
- Varsity Swim Team: 4 yrs, Captain next yr, broke a hs record as freshman
- Math Team: 4 yrs, hopefully President next yr
- Spanish Honors Society, National Honors Society, Key Club
- Volunteer at American Cancer Society (will accumulate approx. 200 hrs)

Can you guys also tell me how I can improve my chances for Colgate?? Colgate is my dream school, and I really want to get in. Thanks!

I'm a senior this year and, from my experience, early senior year is your best bet, especially since you are applying ED.
Don't worry about not being ranked---I was in the same position. I'm sure (99%) that the coach will atleast send a little note to the admissions office saying that you contacted him and showed interest.

I don't know what a 29 ACT translates into, but I'm pretty sure that PSAT is the equivalent of an SAT over 1400, which (with everything else) should put you in solid shape.

Your 29 ACT = 1300/1950 SAT, so you'll probably want to submit SAT scores instead, assuming that they are similar to your psat. Or, retake ACT and aim for a 32 which approximates a 1420.

Colgate does not consider Subject Test scores. At the info session, they said that they wouldn't even look at them.
