Colgate vs. Washington and Lee

Hey guys, I've been having a REALLY hard time deciding between these two schools. They are both great schools, comparable in many ways, yet different as well. Anybody have any advice or information? (I'm gonna post this on both boards)

colgate = alcoholic rich boarding school kids from the north, collars popped
washington and lee = alcoholic rich kids from the south, very traditional

they are very similar schools and you get a top notch education at both. you may want to visit both of them to see which you like better

My dad teaches at W&L and i know Lexington very well, so if you have any questions about the town, shoot. The main reason that every one drinks and parties soo much there is that there is NO social life in lexington. I mean drugs and alcohol are very easy to find, but there are no clubs, one or two bars, one small movie theater, and nothing for like 40 minutes around...

btw, im going to Colgate haha.... and i know that Hamilton is probably even less hopping than lexington.

At least with Colgate you can get to Utica and close to Syracuse in 40 minutes.

In Hamilton, (off-campus) you can eat, watch movies, and go to bars. That's about it. It is, however, very "quaint".
