Does anyone know how good the physics dept. is? Are the profs good teachers? Are there many majors, and if so, how happy are they?
Any input would be appreciated.

i just spent 2 nights at colgate and i attended a physics class while i was there (my host was an astrophysics major, or something like that). i dont know alot about the department in general but the class that i attended was very small and engaging. the prof was very good and excited to teach. and another plus is the fact that physics is housed in the brand new and beautiful ho science center
