...chances...pretty please?!!

Stats:

Cuban/Norwegian American (who started learning Spanish sophomore year and took AP her junior year, mom never spoke to me)
National Honor Society/National Hispanic Merit Scholar
Poem Selected for Washington State Holocaust Project
GPA: UW 3.75 (at a rigorous prep school in Seattle)
Honors Classess and 4 AP's (those are the only AP's offered, Spanish which I took last year AP Euro and AP Lit, and I took AP US during my free period last year)
AP Spanish: 4
AP US: 4
SAT: 2000 M 630 V 670 W 700 (I knowww they are horrible)
SAT II: Spanish 680 English 650 (I am horrible at tests)

Major: International Relations

EC:

I have lots and its hard for me to remember them all, they are on my resume..

Drama- I have had the lead in all of the school plays
Voice- I am currently studying opera and I have voice lessons 2 times a week for two hours, I have a CD which I am sending in including songs like "Seguidille" from Carmen
Peer Mentor Executive- organize activities for Peer Mentors to take care of Freshmen
Secretary, Community Service Club
National Honor Society
President, Photography Club- I have received college credits in photography
Intern, Women's Funding Alliance- An organization that grants money to women's organizations in the Seattle Area.
Little Bit Therapeutic Riding Center- helping disabled children ride as a means of therapy
Humane Society Volunteer
Brown University Course on Global Engagement- Basically an international relations coures in which we formulated action plans and presented them (mine had to do with my business
US-Islamic Relations- I was nominated by a professor at Seattle U to attend this event only open to college students (and me) at the UW (university of washington)
Choir (9-10)
Spanish Immersion trip- Went to Spain for a month after sophomore year and came back almost fluent, I know the test scores don't reflect it but I have testing anxiety.

Hooks? I started a business of whcih I am the president about five years ago which provides servers for events (like parties/shower/ you know). It My staff currently includes 25 girls. We donate all profits towards a scholarship for at risk high-potential girls seeking college education in the state of WA and we just announced our first $20,000 scholarship.

Can't help with your chances, but YAY Seattle! I grew up in Bellevue and went to Lakeside (then Colgate). I also did Little Bits for a while too!

Girl, Colgate adcoms aren't going to be impressed by your laundry list of ECs. They'll just glaze over it. I hope you haven't submitted your app yet... if you haven't done so, knock it down to only several in which you've made LONG term commitment to. Take out the ones you did it just for community credit or as a favor to somebody and leave those in which you really care about. Put your business up in the top spot and see if you can use it in your "most meaningful activity" section...

Colgate students do a lot of volunteer work but many, many end up sticking with one or two groups that they work with for several semesters because there is just no time to do "random" short-term work. The adcoms want to take students who are dedicated and committed to their causes to replace the eventually-graduating leaders. So be choosy when you re-write your resume.

you will get in. And by the way...your standarized testing scores are NOT horrible!!!!
