Is the reception only for students that are admitted? Kind of a pep talk from alums. Or is it open to students interested in attending Colgate. We were in Hamilton on Friday to visit the school and my daughter will be applying next year.

It says it's for the applicants to the class of 2013.

Applicants for Class of '13 are invited. I guess they want to meet people in the flesh. Great idea!

They did that here for Tufts, but there weren't any adcom people, just current students. It was nice from a "what's it like" perspective, but not in an admissions perk kind of way.
