I kind of doubt many here would know the answer to your question about TAs, though I believe Amherst doesn't really have any graduate programs. Doesn't mean there aren't TAs, though. I had a friend that went there and she loved it. There seemed to be just as much (if not more) partying (they actually hand out water and aspirin to every senior as they process to graduation!) at Amherst, actually. I think senior honors theses of some kind are a bit more common at Amherst, but many at Colgate do them as well. Their town is considerably bigger (and as a result less charming and more dangerous, in my experience). That's probably not all that helpful, but it's all I really know. Hopefully someone in the Amherst forum can answer your question about TAs.
