March 25

Quote from my "my Colgate" page:

"Colgate's Office of Admission has appreciated the contact we have had with you through your college search. We understand that you are eager to learn the outcome of your application. Currently, the application review phase for first year admission is now complete. We plan to mail our admission decisions on or about March 25. Please note we do not give out decisions over the phone. You should expect to receive your decision within a reasonable amount of postal delivery time after March 25. We thank you again for your interest in Colgate and give you our best wishes for your college career."

^I would guess email decisions are based on mailing address not birth land.

So.. I'd be on the look out for a letter.

All decisions are by mail, even international (which is mailing address not in the US). No decisions are ever emailed. If an international applicant lives somewhere particularly rural or where mail delivery is infrequent, it MAY be shipped by some other method than regular mail. If you don't receive it within a reasonable time frame (which depends entirely on your location), you can call to see if it's possible to get it over the phone, but for the sanity of all of the AO's, only call if it's clear that something has happened to the letter en route - like say if you normally get things from Colgate 5 days after they mail them and it's been 15 days.

So if they send all of the decisions by mail, I really hope they send earlier the ones for international addresses because, for example, US mail takes plenty of time to get to me.

One of my friends received a letter [rejection ] from Colgate. This means international mail was sent earlier than stated in that message. Now I am eager to receive my letter too.

My friend is from Romania also - Gaesti is the name of the town. Gaesti is pretty close to Targoviste, my town. However, I didn't receive by now any letter (it's already past 6 PM, so it's unlikely I will get it today)

So I just received a letter from Colgate today.

Thin letter - waitlisted...

Hopefully you will all receive the thick letter. Beware of the thin white letter and good luck to all!
