uhh the essay??

at the risk of sounding like a complete idiot... what is going on in the essay for 2010?

We honor the many different forms of diversity in our community. Your perspective is valuable because it comes from your life experiences, family background, and culture. Please tell us about yourself and what you believe is the best way to share your perspective. Also, what do you hope to learn from the experiences of others?

the best way to share your perspective?

ok i do sound like a complete idiot but I'm willing to sacrifice my dignity to ask for help.

Plain and simple. Pretend it's a show-and-tell.

It's an atypical essay for Colgate admission. Normally Colgate essay questions are more specific. For this type of question, I suppose you might have to express yourself directly like in an interview. Do not make it a question-and-answer essay though.
