W&M Admission Stuff?

This was all the stuff I planned on submitting.

- Common Application
- Optional Submission
- Fine Arts Submission DVD
- Video (talking about interests/skills/talents not expressed in interview or essay)
- 3 Recommendations (Counseler + 2 Teachers)

1. If I plan on getting involved in visual fine arts extracurricular-wise and NOT academic-wise, could I still submit a fine arts submission? I read somewhere that if one plans to be academically or socially involved they can do so.

2. Would I be allowed to submit ANOTHER supplemental item as a video along with the OPTIONAL submission and FINE ARTS submission?

3. Is there any limit to supplemental things I can send? My GPA isn't the best so I want to go all out when I apply for W&M (I'm considering ED).

I appreciate all responses.

Do not apply early decision unless you are sure that you can afford to attend. If you need financial aid, you are better off being able to compare FA offers from several schools.

There is such a thing as submitting too much information.... your best guideline for what to send is by looking at the policy of the school. Some schools will not look at extra letters or extra material.

W&M admissions is actually very active on the W&M board. I would suggest posting your question there, as I am confident that they would respond.

Having said that, my son submitted his application and the supplemental essay (which was a bit quirky) and was accepted. I think W&M in particular really welcomes anything that can give them an insight into what makes you tick. I would send anything that does that, even if it doesn't directly pertain to your major area of study.

Again, post on the W&M Board.
