bad senior year grades

hi everyone. like every other senior probably, i had a bad case of senioritis, but i'm talking really bad.. like bad from the time senior year began, not starting second semester. i got 1 A, 2 B's, and 4 C's my first semester, but i still got into the university of maryland college park (don't know if they saw my first semester grades.) i thought i was going to end up with 3 A's, 2 B's, and 2 C's for my second semester grades, but today i learned that my 2 C's were going to drop to D's because of some grades that were added in later that dropped my C's. this brings me to 3 A's, 2 B's, and 2 D's.

my counselor originally said that i would be fine in terms of not getting my acceptance revoked, but that was before i found out that my C's might turn out to be D's. i'm going to school tomorrow to talk to my counselor and also my teachers to see what's up with those grades, because i thought grades were already final but apparently the teachers are still factoring in other things into the grades.

now, if my grades do turn out to be 2 D's, then what do you think maryland will do to my acceptance? i have never heard of maryland revoking acceptances for poor grades, nor have i seen a policy for this outlined on their website. if my grades stand as 2 C's, which i may be able to do when i go to school tomorrow, then will i be okay? or will my first semester grades also call my acceptance into question? and don't give me any "i can't believe you let your grades get this bad" or w/e. what's done is done, and i know i've screwed myself over. i don't need to hear it again.

What classes did you get the D's in? If it was 1 D you wouldn't have anything to worry over. But 2 D's, I don't know man. I don't know what Maryland's standards are but I would be cautiously optimistic. But yea, 2 D's isn't a good thing to have at this point.

Were they hard classes for you?

I'm sure they wouldn't revoke for Cs, though I'm not sure about Ds. Did you take finals? If so, did you do well and does the grade for the final exam show up separately on the transcript? That might offset a poor grade for the class.

they were in ap economics and ap physics. i know it's not entirely the teacher's fault, but my teachers were really bad.. as in sometimes they didn't know what they were talking about either and constantly referred to ap prep books during class to keep the lecture going. and no, the finals don't show up separately -- they get factored in to the fourth quarter grade.

i went to school the other day with no luck.. neither of my teachers nor my counselor were at school. i'll keep trying...

i can agree that ap econ. is a very tough class since i took it. I was lucky to get lots of homework grade inflation.
