my MIT interview is in 2 weeks and i'm kinda nervous. anything in particular that the MIT alums like to ask? i want to have all my bases covered.

and I also want to know what MIT alums like to ask. I contacted my rep and she hasn't replied, which makes me a bit irritated! MIT isn't my first choice, so I'm not too nervous. I think it's going to be a semi-formal (or maybe informal) interview.

hey, has anyone done an online interview over skype? i'm very interested in wake forest university but i live in MA. Many have said that Wake Forest's interview carries substantial weight, especially since they made SAT's optional.

if anyone has done an online interview or is familiar with the process, or with Wake Forest's interview specifically, i would appreciate any information. thanks!

my MIT interview is this Wednesday!!!...My first college interview for my top choice so I'm a bit nervous; so here are my questions:
-Should I bring a resume/transcipt or test scores? ( I read somewhere that I should but im not sure)
-will jeans and a nice blouse be appropriate?
-will there be any Q's specifically on MIT, like their history or something??

So early in August I had an interview at Bryn Mawr which seemed to be fabulous. We had a very exciting, in depth conversation about my interests, goals and BMC. The interview went for about an hour - very fast! I showed my interviewer my transcript which is a massive upward spiral (we are talking a few b's and c's in 9th-10th and all As in junior year). I feel that this may have been a bad idea - but it was my first interview and all I read suggested talking about past academic flaws. I mostly emphasized my very strong ec's and enthusiasm for the larger part of the interview. Even so, my interviewer was very thrilled about our conversation and said to me and to my mother that many of bmc's best students have academic histories like mine. It seemed like she was selling the school to me (sorry if this seems pretentious

)Any how I get home and send an thank you email two days later from a relatively new email address. I never receive a response. Do you think this is a snub or something else? It's been eating me as Bryn Mawr is my first choice.

I just had my first interview today at Hampshire and I have one at Sarah Lawrence this coming Saturday.

The interview actually went great! It was with a current senior @ Hampshire. I was pretty nervous but once the interview actually started it went very smoothly... didn't screw up with any answers even though I had to think a bit about some (i.e.: If there was one thing you could change about your community, what would it be?) He asked me about my HS experience, areas of interest, books I like, hobbies... etc. I was also completely honest about a screw up I had (academically) and he greatly appreciated that. No negatives and he gave me his email afterwards. I think it really helped my chances of acceptance!

VERY nervous about Sarah Lawrence next week, it's my top choice, but still excited. Has any one interviewed there before that has any insight/tips?

** Oh yes and just an FYI, my interview today was about 40 mins long, but it seemed to go by so fast! Overall great.

omg I just got assigned my Georgetown alumni interviewer yesterday. I called the number they gave me, and I spoke with his secretary. We're meeting at his office this Wednesday (!). I googled him and stuff, but there wasn't a lot I could find. Any tips at all?
Also, she said bring anything that I feel is necessary- what does that mean. I know transcript, activity sheet are obviously required, but anything else? I'm like going to have a panic attack

So I have an interview with an admissions director at a hotel tomorrow. Would dark jeans or dress pants and a nice tshirt be okay?

I had a Swarthmore interview 2 weeks ago. It was an interview with this overnight program, so I think it was a little different than regular interviews. 100 students had to be interviewed in one day, so the interviews were generally about 20 minutes and were often with current students. Mine was with a senior. We had been going to so many seminars and I had been getting so many questions answered that I couldn't think of any good ones then, though I did ask her one. We got into a bit of a discussion about art history, since she's taking a class and it's my favorite subject.

I have another interview tomorrow, so I will report back. I'm going to be in Chicago this weekend, but unfortunately, I only found out that I was going on Saturday, so all the interviews at UChicago were taken. I'll be hanging out at Northwestern anyway and it's sort of a bother to get from one to the other.

I recently did an interview with Rochester last week. It was very relaxing and eased. He did ask typical questions on how I found the school and to tell me about myself. My interview was only supposed to be 30 minutes, but we ended up talking for an hour!

I have my Penn interview next week. I applied ED, so this is my first interview and the one that means the most to me. Has anyone had a Penn interview yet? I'm just wondering what they ask aside from the general "Why do you want to attend this school" and such.
