Common App "additional info" essay...how did you use it?

As the title says....

Should I try and fit a small essay here about something creative? I thought about using it to write about my passion for writing or something like that. Is this appropriate or only if you have to "explain circumstances" or something?

Thanks!!

you could probably use it for that, though it's mostly intended for things that need additional explantion. I'm sending a theatre resume and a booklist.

DD used it to explain how she felt that one of her ECs helped her to mature as a person and a student and how she hoped she would have experiences like this in college.
