Should I still put a lot of effort on my essay?

So right now I'm mostly concentrating on my UC and USC personal statement because those are my main priority schools, but I'm also applying to Santa Clara University and maybe University of San Diego. Here are my stats, and I'm pretty sure I can get into Santa Clara and University of San Diego. With that said, how much time do you guys think I should spend on my essay? Since I'm concentrating on the UC and USC essay, should I still put a lot of effort on my personal statement for Santa Clara and USD?

GPA:
Weighted GPA: 3.85
Unweighted: 3.65
Sophmore weighted GPA: 3.83, unweighted: 3.67
Junior weighted GPA: 3.86, unweighted: 3.43
For my first semester Senior year I can most likely get a 3.83 unweighted, 4.33 weighted

SAT I: 1850
SAT II: I'm taking them in November, I'm taking Spanish (Can get a 700), Math IIC (maybe a 650 or above), and Chemistry (Maybe a 600 or above)

Volunteer work: About 50 hours so far of community service at various different places
Extracurriculars: Spanish Club
Cross Country

Are the essays different for Santa Clara and U of San Diego? It might help if you can find a way to tweak your UC/USC essays to fit those prompts - just don't force it.

Okay I doubt I have to write an amazing essay for Sanat Clara and USD, but I'm still gonna put a little effort in it. And yea I was thinking of tweaking the essays a bit to make it fit. I'm just saying I have other things to do, so I was thinking these essays would be AS important.

Admissions decisions last year were weird, so I'm assuming that they will be more so this year.
