How many times can you actually take a course?

Just like the title,
how many times can you take a course?
I have already taken English 10 twice, but I want to take it again,
is this possible?
I have always gotten 90+ in English, but in grade 10, my mark was in the 80s,
I know taking the same course 3 times might sound stupid to some people, but, can I really take it 3 times?

No, typically you can only take it once unless you failed.

I don't even know why you took it twice if you got a 90+ the first time?

I would think that your school wouldn't give you credits for taking it again. At my school you can only take a class once and no credits after that. Also, why would you take English 10 3 times? Whynot English 11,12 or AP?
