12th grade course selection help

My basic situation is what to take senior year, Regular US History or AP US History. I want to go into the science field of premed. Most people have been tellin me that colleges dont really care about the class if ur not interested in it as a major. Here is my schedule since 9th grade.

9th: All Honors
10th: All Honors
11th: All Honors, AP Chem
12th: All AP classes, Honors Spanish

I was wondering, will colleges think i slacked off senior year if i take a regular history. I am 90% sure i will lose by 4.0 gpa and my validictorianship if I get a B in AP US.

What do u guys think I should do.

Here are all my Aps:

Ap Chem, Bio, Calc AB, English,

Take regular, if you think you'll lose your valedictorianship, as long as you have a rigorous courseload colleges won't think you're slacking off. I suppose it also depends on where you plan to apply to....I don't have any experience w/ ivies so I don't know how relevant my advice will be to you.

What is your school's requirement to check the "most rigorous" box in the counselor recommendation? At my kids' school is is something like 6 AP classes - we don't have honors. If you already have that box checked then the APUSH class doesn't matter and the decision is easy - don't take it.
