ilikesheep -thanks a lot- i wrote a mail to the admissions office of amherst explaining my situation.
I am from north india- U.P. to be more specific. why though?
if its downloaded does that mean they aren't writing us off entirely? or does that just mean the computer printed it off, but when the admission officers get there they will see it was late ?
Downloaded means the admissions officers got your application. The process is not automatic - they took applications at the time it was marked as downloaded. You should be fine.
How bout this....everyone go to the CC message board for your respective colleges...or any college for that matter....and ask the admissions people what they do in these situations...such as-
-Am i ok if it was downloaded
-Am i ok if i submited just a few min. late
By asking the admissions people you can get a straight answer...then once you get an answer post it back on this thread...
or you can just solve your probs by forging the post mark date and stuffing the application in the post office box/ intercepting the mail so that way they cant tell the difference....
If I already submitted the commonapp portion to several of my "all-in-1" institutions that have deadlines of January 15th, does that mean that I can't submit the supplement portion separately? as in a week from now? or does all in one mean at the same time. i hope i can still submit them.. im worried
All in one just means that the school will only start evaluating when they have both parts together. Submitting separately is fine. With a Jan 15 deadline, it won't be a problem.
