| ^ No, you can make different versions and work on them or send the same application at a later time. You submit it to colleges at different times, not always in one group. |

I don't know about EIL, but it sounds like a legitimate summer activity, you might want to put an explanation if you think it's necessary.
When you're listing your activities on commonapp, there's a drop-down menu of activities' categories. One of them is "study abroad", so you can do that there. |

| It will depend on the school you are applying to, as each school may have its own requirements and rules. The rec from your debate teacher should be fine, but just check to be safe.
A recommendation by the lawyer you interned for would be considered a supplemental rec, which cannot substitute for a teacher recommendation; some schools encourage the submission of supplementals, while others strongly discourage it. |

| I had a question about majors-- is it better to say the major you intend for college on their application even if you're not completely sure, or to say undecided? also, if there is a certain major like business, for example, at a college known for its prestige in business and you are interested in business, is it better to put this on the app or will it hurt you as many people prob. want to go to that college for their business program? |

| In general, the major you indicate on your application will have no bearing on your admissions. What can and will matter, is which school within the university you apply to.
Some universities have you apply to the university in general; they don't care whether you plan to study art, music, science, or engineering. Every applicant is evaluated equally. Stanford is one school that does this.
Other universities have you apply to a specific school within the university; schools include the College of Arts and Science, School of Engineering, School of Business, etc. For these universities, the school you pick will affect your admissions. Your major within that school (English versus Biology, in the College of Arts and Science) will not affect your admissions. |

| Yes, although the supplementals for the fall application season won't be released until the summer (around late July, early August) I think the Common App essay topics are the same from year to year so you could get started on that. |

| I don't remember there being a definite maximum. General rule of thumb though is 500-700 words, or about 1 page single spaced. |
