SAT trouble

I scored 2040 on my SAT and 35 on my ACT
I also scored 800 on math II and will be taking 2 more this fall.

How will this affect my chances at admission?

Admission where? You can probably just send your (excellent) ACT score and not have to worry about it anyway.

I don't think it matters...don't colleges say they will only look at the best scores?

When the admissions committee sits down to talk about you, they are going to have a piece of paper with your best scores on it. They are not going to say "Hmm...well the ACT is good, but obviously this SAT II is subpar. REJECT."

Be sure to identify on your app that you are submitting the ACT.

Which school are you looking at that requires SAT IIs in addition to the ACT? I can't think of any off the top of my head that do.

nehta, you're fine. Don't worry. You should focus more on showcasing who you are as a person on your application. That is the most important thing.

My best advice is Retake it if you feel like you can improve by a lot, like at least 100 points. And don't bug people by asking, "I have so and so test score, do you think I can raise up to this score within this amount of time?" You should know, based on how well you've been studying.

It's not the combined score that matters as much as the breakdown.

You will certainly not be rejected for your SAT score, considering that your ACT is very good. Colleges claim that they will take your highest scores, but how they interpret the other scores....it really varies from school to school and person to person.

Heck, you wouldn't be an automatic reject with a 2040 anywhere in the USA, especially considering the 800 math II. I'm sure you just had a bad test day.
