Well, my Barnard admissions counselor has received all my supplementary materials; my history teacher agreed to email my schools on my behalf since he lost his voice and can't call and lobby for me; and my ego's been deflated since a friend of mine told me that my letter of interest was "a bit much... perhaps [i] overdid it."
And now... I wait. Good luck to everyone (except if you're trying for Barnard or Emory-- in that case, back off)!
thanks, trackie, for the compliment and for withdrawing! i hope it was just my friend being her usual unpleasant self when she critiqued my letter... i worked my butt off on that thing, as sad as it is. i know of two others from my high school and a girl in the area who turned down emory, so i'm crossing my fingers. barnard's still my number one, sorry to say.
