This night will ruin many dreams and make many people sad...good thing you're not one of them.
And really you shouldn't, since Johns Hopkins still kicks ass.

Yale and Dartmouth, though I didn't expect to get into either. Yay possible-gap-year?

Rejected from Dartmouth, Columbia, and Brown. I didn't really care, didn't expect to get in. I was more than happy with the choices I had. I'll be going to Reed, Oberlin, or Wesleyan (leaning towards Reed).

Rejected from Penn ED and now Brown RD. I don't mind since that's what I was expecting! Probably end up at Gettysburg or UMich, maybe Northwestern/BC if I get off their wait lists.

All my friends who applied to Ivies didn't get in. Some applied to four, others just to one. One girl from my school got into Brown, that's it.

Someone, who shall not be named is a prestige whore. She applied to HYP, Dartmouth, Columbia, Brown, Rice, and Stanford. She was waitlisted at Rice and rejected from Stanford. AND, since she hasn't posted any exciting news for some time, I'm assuming she was rejected from all of the Ivies she applied to.
She had NO safeties.
So you all shouldn't worry as long as you got into one school.
She's third in our class, member of the drill team, excellent GPA, Ivy-average SATs, little ECs other than drill team and Mu Alpha Theta/UIL, no leadership positions, little community service, and basically rode the salutorian's coattails (she got accepted to Yale early decision)
Now she has a big 0 for acceptances.
Lesson for the day: use a safety net, don't be a prestige whore, and be realistic.
