| Many of them send reply cards (it is just a postcard included with the packages). Did they come with acceptance packages? My son just sent back the reply cards, answered the questionnaires as to why "no thanks" if they sent those, and one school called well before May 1 to ask my son if he was going to attend (they actually used a telemarketing company to make the call). |

| Well, usually with your acceptance package you end up getting a reply letter where you decline and tell them what school you are going to. If you cannot find it, right a nice email rejecting their offer, and tell them where you're going instead. |

| Do we also have to decline the individual financial aid offers from the schools we won't be attending, or is sending in the reply card enough? |

| 1) E-mail either your admissions rep, if you've met him/her, the Dean of Admissions, or just use the generic admissions e-mail address.
2) No, you don't have to decline the FA offers. The admissions office will communicate with the FA office. |

| If you've sent in your reply cards, you're all set. You don't need to send an additional e-mail. E-mail is only if you don't have/have lost a reply card. |

| How do you decline colleges? Some of the colleges I am not planning on attending have little cards I can fill out but others I have no clue. I got some small scholarships and I know I should thank the schools but how formal does the decline have to be?
Can it be via email? Or is snail mail better?
(I know I saw a s\imilar thread but I cannot find it, if someone would direct me that would be great too) |
