Know someone with lots of ECS/ great GPA/Nat'l Merit/great candidate who applied EA and did not get in this past year-- shock to everyone! Be careful!

@absolut3: It won't hurt either candidate unless they decide to reject the one with "better" grades and scores, then they might waitlist instead of outright reject.

"Stanny"? Really? I get annoyed enough when people refer to my school as just "S", but I think "Stanny" is worse.

if one kid is the perfect applicant and the other is in the stanford range, what are the chances of the "stanford range" applicant
