One question
This might be a silly q but if a college sends you emails saying you are a select group and you should apply, does that improve my chances of admission into that school? Do they just send these emails to thousands of other students? In my case it's RPI that sent me emails

They send these things to a lot of students, way more than they could accept. I don't think it improves your chances whatsoever.
