Gap year ... high school recommendations?

once an alum, will the high schools help at all if you take a gap year?

That's a big problem for me too, lol. I'm gonna contact my teachers over the phone individually.

S had no problems getting reccs from teachers and GC during his gap year. However, a few months ago, a parent posted in Parent Forum that her kid's former h.s. refused to help her student apply to college during a gap year. The h.s. claimed that it had no responsibility to do things like provide GC recc.

Bottom line: Check with your h.s. now about their policy on this.
