AP's: AP Euro-4, AP US History-5, AP English Lang-5, AP Calc AB-5, AP Bio-5

Kinda disappointed about the Yale rejection of course, but I didn't REALLY expect to get into any of the Ivies. I've pretty much narrowed it down to GW, BC, and maybe Gtown [depending on Fin.Aid]. Northwestern would be in the running too, but they didn't give me enough aid =/

tiakivia, You live in Baltimore? Do you know anything about MICA? I hear so many different things about safety issues. Any info about safety/living style would be much appreciated! Sorry about Johns Hopkins--Reed is a great school, though (and really different place from Baltimore!)

randominimus, I'm totally in the same boat as you...being an international (even though I've lived here for more than 10 years!) and needing fin aid sucks! even if you weren't international or didn't need aid, you could get in...fml

Accepted: UCI, UCSD, UCLA, UCB, USC, Claremont Mckenna, Pomona College
Waitlisted: Stanford
Pomona was my dream school! Im quite happy I got in( and they gave me alot of financial aid basically covering all costs ), and denied Stanford's waitlist. Quite frankly I was expecting a flat out rejection from stanford so im content. Anyone else going to Pomona?
Vtard: Cal poly SLO is actually quite competitive and even better and more selective than some UCs.

Accepted:
University of Texas - Austin
Syracuse University
NYU
UBC
Carleton University
Rejected:
Northwestern
USC
UNC
Still waiting to hear from:
McGill
University of Toronto
UW-Madison
But I've pretty much already decided to go for NYU since the it was always on the top of my top choices, NYC is one of my favourite cities, and the ones I'm waiting to hear back from are safeties. I never really had a #1 dream school type, but NYU is definitely the favourite of my favourites.
SAT: 1840
GPA: Canadian high schools don't calculate GPA
IB predicted: 32 (UBC takes it as 92%)

So thus far, it's been like so:
Accepted:
Boston University
Clark University (with scholarship)
Duke University
UVA
Williams College
Waitlisted:
UChicago
Washington University in St. Louis
Rejected:
Amherst
Brown
Cornell
Harvard
UPenn
Swarthmore
Vanderbilt
NYU
Still Waiting:
Carleton College
Wake Forest
Wellesley
Tbh, I'm awfully glad with the acceptances I got. It's pretty good for an international student with not so stellar SATs. I went into the whole application process with the Expect-Little-To-Avoid-Disappointment attitude. Plus, I'd already had a place from a great uni in the UK. So I got over the rejections 20 mins later. Now I have the REALLY tough decision of choosing between Duke, UVA and Williams. I'm getting a headache just thinking about it. :S
