S got accepted ED to Amherst on Sat. I got the mail as soon as I saw the mail truck. Envelope was regular #10 and thinnish, so I was anxious. My son came into the kitchen and caught me holding it up to a light bulb to try and read through the envelope! Busted. He quickly took the envelope from me and went into another room. I could hear him open it and then silence. It was torture. He finally came back in with a serious face and put the letter on the counter in front of me. I am so happy for him!! His girlfriend got into her 1st choice school ED and found out earlier in the day, so we had two happy campers on Sat. But now we are hearing of other people's results and it is such an emotional roller coaster. What a trying time!

S accepted ED to Pomona! Thrilled for him--yeehaw! Selfish part of me just wishes Pomona not so far from home--the other side of the country........Still, yeehaw! :-)

UGA deferrals
A number of kids at my son's pvt school in NC were surprised to get deferred at UGA. Could UGA be getting tired of accepting so many safety applicants who decide to go elsewhere?
