| Uh-oh...
i found a mistake in my submitted common app. (i copy and pasted my response to the "elaborate on one of your ec's" into the box and only the first 100 or so words appeared on my final application. o_o)
is there any way i can fix this? or if I wanted to apply to Princeton again RD, could I submit a "new" version of the common app, or they'll only look at my old app? >.>
thanks for the help guys~ |

^^maybe you could try faxing the corrected form in to Princeton after emailing them about the problem. I think that's what a lot of people did about corrections for ECs, updated financial info, etc etc.
And I don't live in New York or California (majority of CCers live..from what it seems like) I live way down south and I don't know of ANYBODY who has ever gone to Yale or Ivy Leagues. I know only one person who got into MIT, after being deferred.

I've never met anyone who has gone to a school even remotely popular on CC, with the except of College Park, which is my in-state flagship. I do know a full-pay double legacy who went to Rice, though. Of a class of 300, 1-2 students will go out of state (and about 40% of our students go to a four year college). They mostly go to small out of state universities like Bloomsburg, or to a Penn State satellite campus or something like that. However, I met a Wharton professor at work a few months ago. That's the closest my town has ever gotten to the Ivy leagues.

Zens, I applied to Emory University through early decision even though I wasn't a finalist. All I did was go to the college supplements webpage on Questbridge and got the e-mail of the admissions counselor of Emory and send an e-mail to her stating that I would like to request that my Questbridge application to be read by the admissions of Emory for early decision. It worked, didn't have to wait until Dec. 1.

Guys I highly doubt coming from a school that's known for certain activities would hurt your chances.
Uh, do our colleges not get our first quarter grades?

Hey guys, after placing your order on collegeboard for score reports, does it say order pending when you click on the "summary of sent scores" link? Because i placed my order on October 25th and it still says order pending. Does this mean that it did not go through? How do i check if it is sent out already and the schools received them? Is it normal to have an order still pending when you placed it almost 2 weeks ago? Should I call collegeboard? I am freaking out .

stevenboi, ds has the same problem. Because of volume this time of year, it's taking a long time. Thankfully, we did his QB colleges much earlier, but he did a "priority app" for another college, and it hasn't received it.

^That's weird because some people on this thread said Stanford or Princeton received their scores already though. Why is our order still pending?

Because they might have sent them in well before you did. DS sent his scores into his QB colleges in June and mid-October.
Hey, everyone, do we NEED to follow-up with the schools to make sure they got scores? One school confirmed, but the others didn't.
