Ever the optimist: If you are matched, who calls -- QB or the individual school? Any idea what time of day that is?

I was always under the impression that they emailed you...Is that not true?

I could have sworn that GAMOM or someone else said you are notified by phone call. E-mail sounds less stressful to me. I'll research this a bit ...

OK, look at posts 1807 and 1812 in this thread. It says an e-mail if you aren't matched, phone call if you are. And it comes from QB not the individual school.

Re-read the postings - 1st Match posted last year was at 4:24 PM EST (Northeast) Matched by Yale - he/she got a phone call from QB -(See 2008-2009 - Post #3394)

If you keep reading through the posts -
If Matched some got phone calls & e-mails from QB and some just got e-mails from QB -
But, if NO MATCH - definately e-mails only - NO PHONE CALL!


Does anyone know exactly how many finalists this year?? (compared to 1794 last year??)

I wonder why they'd call some people and not others. That seems kind of odd. I am going to sit by Caller ID all day and will have to work very hard not to check ds's e-mail account. I wonder what the subject line is, and does it change depending on a yea or nay? Or is it a generic "Greetings from Questbridge"?

Should I be worried if Stanford hasn't gotten any of my items? (except for common app and supplement). Princeton and Yale have gotten everything, but I am gepographically closer to those 2 schools. But, I'm worried bc I marked Regualr Decision on all the labels (like the instructions said!) and I just read on the website that regular decision thigns dont get processed until late november...

Did you guys call Yale/Brown to see if they got your stuff? How do you guys know if Yale/Brown got anything?
