@GetToCollege: Email the QB team and ask if there is some way you could include it. ASk them what you just posted here, or something more specific like "Can i ask my councelor to fax you a copy of my resume along with my transcript?"

@xtcf: Oops, I think that was partially the fact that I wrote that at 2AM. You *will* be submitting the 1940 for finalist status, and that is the average score. Also, you actually don't *need* to send in the SAT score, but unless you haven't taken it or you recieved a 600/2400, you really should.

Terp2014: Read! The! Questbridge! Website! NOW. In it you'll find that *even* non-finalists can use the Questbridge application to forward their information to colleges- this program wasn't meant to exclude people, but help them. That said, not *all* colleges even accept the QB app in the first place, or don't accept it from anyone during the RD round (not even finalists). For these exceptions, you forward the Common App form with your QB essays pasted in.

@GetToCollege: That is going to be the most difficult part. My advice is: of *course* there will be server blockage- several thousand people are trying to submit their application in a few hours! At peak hours many websites slow or even crash. Of course there is going to be a nervous waiting period, but don't freak out either!
My advice is to apply for as many awards as you can, it means more chances of recieving one.

@GetToCollege: Please do NOT submit your resume to the QB center or the schools. They don't need to see your "skills" or lengthy job descriptions. The reason they don't have a box is because they don't want to see it and it isn't necessary. List your most important jobs, and unless a reader of your app will have NO IDEA what the job means, don't explain it, just list it. If you find that the 300 word limit isn't enough for you, write one of your essays on your work experiences and how they shaped you or some such thing.
PS: By the way, when you're applying for a job, most employers want to see a one-page, to the point resume, not three. The idea is that your work speaks for itself for the most part. You shouldn't have a three-page resume...also, how on earth do you have 3 pages of (real) work experience? You're 17 for pete's sake!

So my SAT scores are 2270 and 2260, both of which I put on the application. My SAT II scores are 800 Math IIC, 750 World History, 720 Bio, 700 Physics. I want to put down 800 Math IIC, 750 World History, and 2 blanks for Bio/Physics retake in October.
Would it be necessary to put down a science subject test right now? Would it help for Finalist notification? Or is 800 Math, 750 World good enough? Thanks!

Hey guys!
I'm also applying to Questbridge.
@tomjonesistheman: were you on the RSI forum?? To answer your question, I think you should be fine for now, just get those subject tests in on the October test date. I am in the same boat.
I'm really excited to apply through Questbridge! MIT is my top choice school. Is anyone else ranking MIT with Questbridge?

If we didn't get the Questbridge College summer camp thing in the summer, should we bother for this one?
My parents make 87k total but we also have a newborn sister, and we send money to my country for our grandparents often.. Idk, I know last time if you were over 60k you were pretty much dropped.

@Prism: My father makes 63K, and my mother makes 0K. They support a family of ten. I'm pretty sure I'm eligible. 5% of finalists are over 60K. You should apply regardless if you feel that your financial need is strong enough for QB. What is your EFC?

@tomojonesistheman: Two subjects tests are fine. A math score is typical, and the world is a little less so, but for QB finalist status you don't even need the SAT 2s. You'll be fine holding off until later.

hey so in October, should I take Math II or retake the SAT? since october scores can count for the match process
this is what I have so far:
Math 1: 750
French: 800
US History: 730
SAT: m=740 cr=670 w=670
I know I could get an 800 in Math2 or 2220+ (740/740/740) for the SAT...
I'm ranking Wharton, Yale, Stanford, Columbia.
and then I would take the other test in november for RD
thanks in advance

I just realized that the Sept ACTs and Oct SATs are the last accepted dates for the FINALIST application review
I haven't taken the ACTs yet and my SAT I scores are 1490 (I made a mistake filling in the bubbles, so it said I omitted 81 when I only omitted ~2. I have my QAS and a copy of my answer sheet, which I reviewed against the CB blue book score rubric. My actual score was supposed to be 1850-2110. I'm going to send this with my app but idk if they'll accept it). My SAT IIs (USH 730, Chem 690-->750, Math II 650--> 750) and I have a 4.00 unweighted gpa, rigorous course load, decent ECs, etc. If I write a strong essay, will I stand a chance at being a finalist even with my low SAT scores? I figure if I get to the finalist stage, I can just sent in my ACT/new SAT I scores. but i'm not sure if it'll be worth it if I don't stand a chance at becoming a finalist because of my low SAT scores, esp. since questbridge said it's very difficult to judge/become a finalist without test scores. I'm ranking Stanford, Upenn, and then Princeton. Is it worth applying? I'm kind of nervous...any insight would be very helpful. Thank you in advance
Also, does anyone if we can send in supplement recc's? I went to a program at Upenn this summer. Would I be able to ask my instructor to write me a letter?

| Where'd you find that? I did read the entire Questbridge site (I'm totally serious), but I found nothingabout non-finalists having their apps forwarded
The reason I ask is one of the teacher's who's doing my recs only does 2 recs per person and I was wondering if I should get him to do my Questbridge rec (and have it forwarded to other schools).

Wow, I'm an idiot. I read that page but the "Non-finalist" column went completely over my head.
On an unrelated note, is Claremont McKenna no longer a Questbridge partner?
