12th grade schedule crucial in college admission

So today I went to my counsler, in planning of making my 12th grade schedule ( absent when it was done through class I guess). I found out today they already have my schedule plan, though reviewing it.... I see changes needed to be made

What I was told:
Ap Calculus
Ap Us History
Ap English
Intro Computers/ Intro Arts
Human Anatomy
Spanish year 3
__________________________________________________ ___________
What do you think of my schedule above? Human Anatomy seems to be more of an elective than core class, and my schedule may look too light for universities. I also never took physics... so I have plans to return to the counsling office tomorrow... in hope that my schedule may look like:

Ap Calculus
Ap Us History
Ap English
Intro Computers/ Human Anatomy
Physics
Spanish year 3 or Yearbook

Which schedule looks more favorable? I would like to get answers by today, since I plan to make changes of my schedule tomorrow. Should I consider to keep Human Anatomy and ignore physics? I don't think I really want art class either, probably prefer web design for the semester with computers.

Physics looks better. What do you plan to major in? That could help narrow down your choices.

More than likely Biology, though I really don't want art, nor much a 3rd year in Spanish. I'm also not even sure if I want Human Anatomy.

AP Calc
AP US History
AP English
Spanish 3--(even though you don't want to take it, you need three years of foreign lang.)
Physics
Any elective you want

Only two years of a foreign language is required. I think I may switch my Human Anatomy to Physics.

If U of M is on your radar, keep in mind that they do look for computer programming and performing or fine art classes.

Oh yeah, I think engineering is known as a fine arts class.

I highly recommend that you take 3 years of the foreign language.

Take Spanish. Two years looks bad.

Yeah I think I may take my 3rd year in Spanish, but this is highly unlikely of what I planned. Though my current teacher grades too hard, and that's just not a good reflection on my grades.

I decided I may go to counsler tomorrow, since I'm a little more okay with arts for a semester and Human Anatomy ( which I made a mistake in a recent post, I do see it as a core class, though not as much for it to be your only science class).

Really looking at other semester classes ( if any may come out better than intro arts), and more science.... not sure if I should just only be taking Human Anatomy as science... then it it's also a year long class.

I have partially the same problem as the OP. I've taken two years of Spanish (Span 1 I got two A's, Span 2 I got an A and a B, because I was very focused on my other AP classes) and am contemplating a third year. However, I really like the schedule I have set up for myself and I know that Spanish 3 is going to kill me (No comprendo espanol whatsoever).

I'm going to be a Computer Science and Engineering major. Should I take Spanish 3 even though I'm almost sure I won't get higher than a B, if that? And if I should take Spanish, what should I take out of my schedule? I'm looking at UCs and a few California privates.

AP English Lit (Graduation requirement)
AP Government (Graduation requirement)
AP Macro/Microeconomics (Graduation requirement)
AP Environmental Science
AP Calculus BC
Physics
Theater History (Graduation requirement)

I think AP Environmental Science offers less utility for you in terms of your career goal. If you really want to take the AP, it can be easily self-studied.

To the OP--I would stick with your counselor's schedule except substitute physics for the Human Anatomy class. Human Anatomy at the high school level is not particularly helpful for a Biology or Pre-Med major--but a background in high school physics will help prepare you for the college-level physics necessary for both. Usually high school Human Anatomy is taken by students interested in nursing or allied health programs after high school. I'd also take the 3rd year of Spanish; yearbook is more of an EC (even though it is considered a class by some high schools) and you should go at least a little beyond the minimum of 2 years of Spanish to be competitive.
