Should I send my 1st quarter senior year grades to college admissions?

Here's the deal

I have applied to 2 schools that both give me my decisions before 2nd semester.

My gpa is the worst thing on my app.

However, this quarter (1st quarter senior year), I earned straight A's and I am taking VERY hard classes.

Should I send my report card to the 2 colleges because they will not have a chance to see my Senior year grades before they give me their decision?

I do realize that they will not be able to recalculate my GPA but they would at least know that I am doing well in school.

Or would it just be a waste of time and an annoyance for the admissions staff?

Yes. My daughter's school sent in her interim grade to her ED school. Often when a school is very interested in you, they would ask your GC for the interim grade even if it's not required.

If the admissions staff is too busy to look at extra material, it'll probably be screened out before they even see it. It couldn't hurt to send them, and it would probably help.
