Activities section too little space?

I find that the Common Application has very limited space for details regarding extracurricular activies. I really have a lot to say about all of the extracurriculars I put in the activities section, so should I elaborate more on each one of them in the additional information section?

I'm doing that for the ones that aren't straightforward and actually require information, e.g. Pegasus Players Global Voices Program or "Be the Cure" fundraiser. If the admissions officer can understand what your e.c. is without a lengthy explanation, then just name the activity (e.g., Varsity Volleyball or NHS). If you want to talk about its impact on you or something, save that for an essay, not the "extras" section.

I suggest if you have a lot of things you want to show the admissions officers, you can upload a document in the additional information section. I did that when I applied as I had a very interesting activity that I wanted to elaborate on.
