university mailing things to high school

If I were accepted to a university, will they physically mail anything to the high school to that effect?

I wouldn't think so. Frankly it's private information, no?

Actually, some colleges email or mail a list of applicants' results: accepted, waitlisted, denied. That is how the Naviance programs data is gathered.

I thought the Naviance information was provided by the students themselves. After the application process was over, my high school contacted everyone to ask about what the decisions were so it could be uploaded into Naviance.

Perhaps our GC misled us as to her sources and contacts.
